St George’s Day

Please find the details of St George’s Day below. Let’s try and get a good turn out and try as be as smartly dressed as we can especially if your carrying the flag.
Gillwell 24
Gilwell 24 2012 has been announced and will take place from Friday 6th July until Sunday 8th July 2012.
The core Gilwell 24 event is a 24 hour long day of activity and challenge running from 09:00 on Saturday straight through until 09:00 Sunday. In addition they will be hosting the warm up on Friday night with one of the stages and fairground open to welcome those staying overnight in preparation.
Gilwell 24 is open to all Explorer Scouts and Senior Section Guides aged 14-18.

Fireworks – Friday Doors Open 18:30

A reminder that this Friday 4th November the 17th Medway Towns are holding our annual Bonfire Party.
There will be fireworks, food and of course a bonfire as well as our normal guy competition so start building those guys.
It is always a fantastic night and we hope to see as many people as possible.
Doors Open at 6:30 and there will be food and drink available.
Halloween Party

Friday 28th October 6.30 till 9.30 The Hut
Tickets are £1 and available for any leader or on the night and every ticket is entered into a lucky draw.
There will be some great traditional Halloween family fun games. Fancy dress if optional but advised. A part food buffet will be provided but feel free to bring your own drinks.
Note this is a family event for parents to accompany their children.

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Badge

A new badge to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee has been launched. The badge can be worn by all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, members of the Scout Network and Adult Leaders in the Scout Association, and will also be worn by members of Girl Guiding UK. It can be worn on uniform from the 3rd September 2011 and is placed above the world badge. If you do not already have one please consult you section leader.
Explorers Turns 10 in 2012 vote for badge
2012 is the tenth anniversary of the introduction of the Explorer Scout and Scout Network sections.
There will be a special occasional badge to commemorate this milestone, and you can vote for your favourite.
There are three designs to choose from:

Young Leaders Training Weekend

£5 for Food which includes Saturday Dinner, Sunday Breakfast and lunch
